The Breastfeeding in Greenwich website was a hub for information on breastfeeding and early years aimed at both Mums and Dads.
It was also the home of the Breastfeeding Friendly Greenwich Scheme which aimed to simplify the search for suitable locations where mothers could breastfeed their babies whilst on-the-go in Greenwich. Even though mothers have the legal right to breastfeed wherever they choose, inadequate facilities and unfavourable reactions from others sometimes create obstacles. The site encouraged Greenwich locations such as cafes and restaurants to enroll in the scheme to create more secure and inviting locations for nursing mothers.
